Green Camp Summer School
The Green Camp Summer School is an international, virtual and interdisciplinary educational project that will give students the opportunity to acquire and develop skills in the field of sustainable development this summer. This programme is aimed at students of all academic levels and is awarded a certificate after completing at least one course from three module areas.
Since the start of the project in October 2021, lecturers from Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg (OvGU, Germany), the University of South-Eastern Norway (USN, Norway), the College of Management Academic Studies, (COLMAN, Israel), the Shamoon College of Engineering, (SCE, Israel), Université Laval (UL, Canada) and the Vietnam National University of Forestry, (VNUF, Vietnam) have been working together to develop a sustainability-related teaching programme. This study programme is then open to students from these universities as part of the virtual Green Camp Summer School.
In addition to imparting sustainable development skills to students, the focus is on the joint development of a sustainable study programme and the further training of university lecturers themselves. Various workshops will focus on current scientific developments in the field of sustainable development, virtual teaching and learning, curriculum development and ultimately also on strengthening the international networking of universities and the exchange of university lecturers in this scientific field.
The project is funded by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) and runs from 01.10.2021 to 30.09.2022. The Green Camp Summer School project is led by Prof. Dr Böcher and the project officer is Juliana Hilf.
